Jo Einar Jansen is a fiddle player and singer from Frosta, a peninsula in the Trondheim fjord in Central Norway. Warm blooded after years of playing around with, and digging into the Nordic music, he now uses various bowed instruments and vocals. Jo Einar is playing in groups like Kartellet, Hans, Jo! Rim, Duo Jansen/Jüssi and Hildur Dansekompani. He is continuously composing new music, often in traditionalistic style, -not bound to one particular area, but on his own terms. He is using the new music alongside with axioms from the ever growing repertoire of delicious old fiddle music.
